The Buzz!!

Yesterday was the day. One pair of clippers met one boys head and Logan loved the outcome! The hair had grown too long to comb it nice and tidy. Daddy thought we should give Logan a mohawk. This is how it turned out. He was so happy with his new hair cut he couldnt wait to show his friends at preschool. I love it too, I think it is super cute on him!

As good as it is gonna get!

Well this is my first attempt at scanning and stitching using photoshop. Can't say i've had an easy time with it. I even followed the tutorial here. It took me 2 evenings to finally get this result and it aint getting any better this time. I will attempt it again with the next layout:) It is a bit cropped because my scanner only supports 8.5x11 and I do 12x12 layouts. So here it is.

30 Min Thursday Challenge

The challenge over at her blog was to create a monochromatic layout using only red. I wasn't too sure what to do with it but then i realized i had a pic with my children playing with their birth sister who just happened to be wearing a red coat. It worked really well I think. The only part of the challenge I didn't meet was the 30min limit but at least I created a page! I haven' figured out how to scan and stitch yet so the colors arent exactly true. Enjoy!

30 Min Thursday Challenge

Well here it is Wednesday night at 11:08pm pst and i have finished my first 30 min thursday challenge. I have had the instructions for 30 min thurs since last thursday and leave it to me to get it done just before midnight the night before! Lain Ehmann over at Scraphappy hosts a challenge to create a layout in 30 min or less using a guideline. This weeks guideline was to use a vacation photo, paper clip and hidden journaling. This is my take on it. For those that are wondering what the hidden journaling says here it is: What a fun time camping in the living room! Mommy tied the sheets with string and then tied them to all corners of the room!

This photo is what I am using as a vacation photo. We decided to camp in the living room for a couple of days. What a great memory. I wish my parents would have built me a tent that didn't keep falling off the chairs!

Arrrrgh Matey!

Well here it is. My first card with my new Billy stamps from Pink Cat Studio. There was no way i could wait until tomorrow to create. I used my Cricut machine to cut out the treasure map. The map is found on the Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge. I used pop dots to mount Pirate Billy on the card.
Enjoy!

Dress Up Angelica

Yay!!! I got my new Dress Up Angelica stamps from Pink Cat Studio. They are actually called Dress up Lily but for an extra $1 you can have it personalized. I first saw this stamp here. I think Kirsten is very talented and full of great ideas, check it out when you get a chance.
I stamped Lily on white cardstock and stamped the wings on Vellum. The sparkle was done with Stickles.
I thought I would enter my card in Cute Card Thursday. This week the challenge is to use gems or jewels on your card, it's as easy as that! My bling is the 3 little crystal stickers in the upper right hand corner.
Now I am off to play with my Logan stamps (Billy Plate). I had to order 3 different sets, one for each of my children. The other set i got was Aurora and Tweet (Lily and Tweet).

Caged Animals?

This was pretty darn cute! I brought the crate in out of the rain for our puppy(the white one who is super huge but only 6 months old). Once the kids discovered it I couldn' keep them out of it.

Paper Doll Dress Up!

I finally broke down and bought the Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge that i have been drooling over for months. I went out friday night to my Yarrow scrapbooking club and decided to create a couple of cards first. My favourite was the rocket. Let me know what you think!

Mother's Day Card

Here is my first attempt at a Mother's Day card. I am actually quite happy with it. I used my Walk in the Garden Cartridge for my cricut. I also used some drywall tape from the dollar store for some texture at the bottom of the card. Enjoy!

Is it Spring?

Well it certainly felt like the cold was over yesterday. My wonderful husband installed a clothes line for me! I just love how cute baby clothes look on a clothes line so i couldn't resist taking this picture of the first clothes on my new clothes line. I am hoping summer is on the way! I am now sporting sun burned arms. Oops, forgot to put the sunblock on! I am hoping to be able to plant my vegetable garden in the near future. We'll see what May has to bring!

National Scrapbooking Day....

The paper line i used here is from a Close to My Heart Collection.

Here is my niece Kayla on her first birthday!

I caught my nephew Cole cuddled up watching a movie with my son Logan. Cole doesn't like tocuddle so this is very precious! It was inspired from somewhere but i cant remember where...Sorry.

This layout was inspired by a Sandy Lion ad in Simple Scrapbooks magazine.

A bunch of my friends and I went to my good friend Carla's house. We chatted, we ate yummy sandwiches provided from our friend Cher who owns the Yarrow Deli....Yummmy! Won't forget to leave out the chocolate and the caffeinated pops to keep us going! Oh Yeah we also got 7hrs of no interuptions from our children to acutually scrapbook. Take a look at some of the things I managed to accomplish. I need to start scanning them in and learn how to stitch. Maybe next week!

I've been tagged

My good friend Carla has tagged me!

Here we go!

The book closest to me: Angels Fall by Nora Roberts

Page 25:

...hot date, or he'd be hanging out down at Clancy's with his

pals, trying to decide which heifer to cut out of that particular

herd. He's come in here to get a look at you."

Because she didn't see she had any real choice, Reece began

to eat the pie. "I don't imagine there's much to see at this

point."

"Regardless, you're new, you're female, young and, as far

as it goes, unattached.
